Entering Zero using Scribble on Apple Watch Is Impossible!

Apple usually provides good usability, but entering a zero using Scribble on the Apple Watch is an epic failure!

This morning I had to reset my son’s Apple Watch to fix an issue with School Time.

During reset to pair the watch again, the Watch prompted me to enter the password for the account it was married to previously — using Scribble (you write using your finger one letter at a time) instead of the keyboard.

I tried many ways to enter the number zero (0). I tried

  • drawing a circle, but it entered the letter ‘o’
  • drawing a circle with a horizontal line through the middle, it entered the letter ‘e.’
  • drawing a circle with a vertical line through the middle, it entered the letter ‘D.’
